Our Services

  • Flash tattoos are pre-designed by your tattoo artist and, aside from size adjustments, are not customizable in any way. They are priced based on the complexity of the design and the duration needed to complete it.

  • Custom tattoos are designed in collaboration with your tattoo artist. They are priced to take into consideration the time your artist spends communicating with you outside of your appointment to perfect the design of your tattoo. Not all artists offer customs, so please double check their specific information.

  • Our space is just a little too tight to accommodate true walk ins, so every Friday we have a Flash Day where you can book same day for smaller, predesigned tattoos. See our IG for more!

Our Policies

  • A deposit of $100 - $250 plus tax is required for all services depending on the experience level of your tattooer. This will go toward the full balance of your tattoo upon completion.

Please note, some artists have a non-refundable deposit policy. Please refer to your Confirmation Email to verify your artist's individual policy. If there is no separate policy noted, then our studio policy below applies.

We are happy to reschedule if your circumstances change. If you need to reschedule, you must do so no less than one week prior to your appointment.

If you do not show up or request to reschedule less than one week prior to your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited and you will have to book a new appointment with a new deposit.

  • Macondo Brooklyn is a Covid conscious environment. The entire team is fully vaccinated, and engages all best practices and guidance as outlined by the CDC. We are always keeping an eye on case counts and will keep adjusting whenever is need to keep our studio safe and healthy.

We all test regularly and stay home if we’re not feeling well to take care of each other. We ask our clients to do the same. So if you feel feverish, congested, fatigued or any other symptoms associated with Covid, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment.

Typically our artists do not mask in the studio but some will while tattooing or in close proximity. If you would feel more comfortable for them to be masked, you can always make that request, just ask.

We work hard to keep the space as safe and comfortable for everyone as possible. If you have any needs or concerns, please get in touch with gabriella@macondobrooklyn.com or speak directly with your artist.

  • Macondo does not tolerate hate, homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, etc. We have the right to ask you to leave if you are making the space uncomfortable for anyone in the studio - artists and clients both.

If you need anything you can contact gabriella@macondobrooklyn.com.

FAQ

  • Moisturize and hydrate starting at least one week before your tattoo.

Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and have a good meal beforehand. Bring a snack, too!

Please come in with clean skin — freshly showered is always best and also helps with hydrating the skin!

You’ll need a government issued ID and a photo of your vaccine card when you arrive at the studio so have these ready.

Please be sure to disclose any conditions that might make you prone to light headedness or fainting to your tattooer so they can be sure to take necessary breaks.

  • Numbing cream is discouraged because it can change the texture of the skin and make it harder to tattoo. If you have a specific need for it, please get in touch with your artist to discuss.

  • Some artists will provide drafts of your design before your appointment, but most will have it ready for you at the time of your arrival.

  • We have a small space at the studio so we kindly ask that you come alone for your appointment.

  • Yes! Tipping is highly encouraged and around 20% is standard. Cash is preferred but most artists will also take venmo.

  • We're located at 1027 Grand Street, Suite 322, Brooklyn NY 11211. When you arrive, please dial 322 then CALL on the key pad. You will be buzzed in.

We are on the 3rd floor. Head up the staircase directly in front of you to the 3rd floor (green walls). Walk through the double doors across from the freight elevator and to the end of that hallway.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to message your artist directly. If you need ADA accessible instructions, please email gabriella@macondobrooklyn.com.
